Why is this sticky if it doesn't stay at the top? It should always be at the top for people who are just wondering in. Actually, there should be a thread at the top that contains information about comopolo in general. Play times, general information about bicycle polo, how to join, links to webpages detailing how to play bicycle polo, how to build your own polo bike and stuff. It's fun having a group outside of facebook, but we should get some real PR going here. It'd be easier to put "Just fucking go to comopolo.com, you n00b bastard" on fliers rather than the whole shabang.

I agree with Andrew. This forum has proved pretty dang useful, but there isn't much of a homepage with information, links, sexy girls, etc. Let's get this blog going as well with updates on what we do and how awesome (is that the right word?) comopolo is.

It's sticky when you go to the Forum it is in, but not on the homepage...

Can we make it sticky to the homepage? Here's my 2(ish) sentence description:

"Comopolo is a community organization dedicated to the playing and proliferation of an exhilarating new sport: bicycle polo. We welcome anyone who may be interested in either bicycle polo or cycling in general to join us as we spread this growing, national sport in the Columbia area.

Join us on:

Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm at the Hitt Street Garage on the corner of Hitt and Elm.
OR
Sundays at 2pm at the roller hockey rink in Cosmo Park.

If you play bicycle polo, all of your wildest dreams will come true."

And then maybe some links to general information about bicycle polo like the wikipedia page and .ca and stuff. Naturally, this is a rough draft and I am open to suggestions!

I definitely agree the homepage could use some sprucing up; right now its basically the forum page but unorganized.

Considering I've paid nothing to Vince for his management of this site, I can't complain.

Improvements can always be made, but I don't feel like I can suggest them to Vince doing it pro bono.

Too busy with food getting, cleaning, general responsible adult thing. I rode Rhetts Run earlier, though!

I propose starting earlier on Sundays while this cooler (high 80s) weather sticks around.

We're losing a little more than 2 minutes of sunlight every day until the winter solstice (Dec. 22). Granted, that loss is attributed to a later sunrise and an earlier sunset, but still.

We're losing sunlight. That's the point.

So why not start at 4 p.m.?

I second that. It'll be like a hippy commune but with a lot more polo and a lot less dreadlocks and patchouli. Sadly it'll still have the same smell though (thanks christian!) hahaha

4 p.m. start time again this Sunday (Aug. 28) at Cosmo.

Right now, Sunday looks to be a much cooler day (76/52) with a 30 percent chance of rain in the afternoon.

But how about starting polo at 3 p.m.? I know Colleen and Tim D. will be winery riding and camping.

Rain or shine, we play tonight. 7:15ish at the Hitt St. (Hitt and Elm) garage. If it's dry, we'll be on top. If there's precipitation, we'll head to the nearest dry floor (5th or 4th).

I changed pickup time on Sunday to 1 p.m. because of how short our days are.

I have no problem with everyone being an admin, the only problem is that when you let everyone be admin, people do things like change meeting times without discussing it first and allowing input from people.
