So, it seems we have a weird disagreement with doing the full moon on the actual full moon. I wanted to clarify a few things since the conversation seemed to be dragging on the polo page and perhaps getting a little too complicated for a fun party ride that COMOPOLO has been putting on for awhile now...

i honestly nerd out and love organizing these events. seriously. and i'm rsorry if one particular night doesn't work out for people for whatever reason, but it would be nice to just have one full moon and not confuse anybody too much by having two different "full moon" rides. It seems really silly. We are a club, we like each other (i hope), and we can communicate enough to decide that a full moon is on the full moon, and that a group ride can happen any night. Like i said, COMOPOLO has been doing full moon rides and recruiting fellow riders for over a year. If a few people cannot make it that night, then go for a group ride the next night. My main concern is that I feel like the party rides that we host represent our bike community and COMOPOLO and the more we host together and have fun together the more fun we look and the more people will be interested.

STL totally inspired me to do full moon rides in columbia because they have it together; a full moon ride is on the full moon, no questions asked, super simple, no fuss, same meeting spot, same time, every time. And they all ride together in their biking community and now have about 200+ people that go on their rides. THAT'S INCREDIBLE! and while como might not have the same number in the biking community we could still recruit people of all ages that we haven't even met that ride around town! more polo newbies!

That being said, i would love to keep organizing these events for the group, as a group, on the full moon, without disagreements or the possibility of somebody feeling like even if they could make it they wouldn't have a good time for whatever reason. Sorry to write a novel, I just don't want a silly ride that's been happening for over a year to complicate relationships in the club. I totally support people doing a group ride on thursday too but it would be super awesome if everybody could make it on the full moon!

I don't understand what all the fuss is about. Just set it up. If people can make it...great. If they can't...no big deal. Remember, having fun is supposed to be easy, especially when we're riding bikes.

Too bad the full moon falls on game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals. I think we should reschedule the ride accordingly:)
