Around Staunton, IL...Which is ~1 hour from STL.

86 in a 65.

The fine is $140. I have the option of paying $320 to plead guilty and being on probation for three months (I just can't get pulled over again in Illinois for 90 days...easy). Then it disappears from my record, and I don't get any points on my license.

Sucks. But I should have been more vigilant about looking for cops.

Expensive. Lesson. Learned.

I knew the parties on Friday and Saturday night were going to be good. I didn't know they were going to be THIS GOOD!

Playing with Jake is as brave as you can get. Aaron, Charlie, Christian, and you will all be playing the same game. Playing with Nic, Knobbe, and Jake is like playing with two guys that playing Polo and one guy trying to maim everyone else on the court.

(When I asked Jake if he wanted to team-up, he said "sure" but he only plays "Bike Hockey" now)

It's here and on Facebook and I forwarded the info to Zach from Bloomington. It'll go on LOBP as soon as I can muster the intestinal fortitude to be on that site for an extended period of time.

The best solution for the 4v4 tournament is to host it later in the month of June... Like the 23rd or 30th.

That gives people that go to the fundraiser time to decompress and re-energize before heading back to Missouri for the 4v4 tournament.

It's like Floppy said in another thread, if you throw a good tournament, people will show up. Pick the right date, and everything will be fine.

The original artwork that I uploaded had the wrong date. It's been corrected

Who: Missouri Bike Polo and anyone looking for fun!
What: Single-day tournament fundraiser with parties on Friday and Saturday night and pickup on Sunday.
Where: Probably Mt. Pleasant Park...Unless a lot of teams want to attend...Then we may change it to Maplewood.
When: June 9th - Game Start in the 9 o'clock hour.
Why: To raise money for Missouri representatives heading to Switzerland for the World Hardcourt Bike Polo Championships.

Missouri Bike Polo is planning to help N. Kruse, C. Hill, and B. Simon get to Geneva, Switzerland for the World Hardcourt Bike Polo Championships.

In an attempt to help dent the cost of traveling to Switzerland to represent the great state of Missouri, we are hosting a fundraising tournament on the 9th of June.

The tournament will be a single-day tournament with several Swiss rounds followed by a single or double elimination tournament. The tournament will probably be capped at around 24 teams, but if more teams want to make the trek to St. Louis, we can divide up the teams and spread out across the city's multiple roller hockey rinks.

There will be parties on Friday night and Saturday night. And there will be pick up games all day on Sunday.

Registration is $30 a team, and that fee goes directly into a pot that will help Nick, Charlie and Ben travel across the pond.

Other twists and fun will be had throughout the tournament (You won't have to trade any players, but you may be able to buy goals before the start of your games).

If you are interested in bringing a team to this fundraiser tournament, please send an email to ben.simon.stl(at)gmail(dot)com with the following information:

Team Name: __________
Teammate #1 Name: __________
Teammate #2 Name: __________
Teammate #3 Name: __________

Other details will be announced as the tournament approaches.

STL would be there any weekend other than floating/birthday weekend (we like floating and birthdays more than polo).

The 23rd and 24th are ideal in my opinion.

Yeah. Knobbe's tournament is in July (close to the 14th). Our fundraising tournament is separate. I'd like the fundraising tournament to avoid cannibalizing the 4v4 and Knobbe's heatstroke tournament.

I'd like to see the Missouri events play out like this (roughly):

June 9 - Fundraiser
June 16 - Floating
June 23-24 - 4v4??
June 30-July 1 - 4v4??
July 7 - _____________
July 14 - Knobbe's tournament

Just to try to evenly space things.

Ps. I have no idea when North Americans is. I haven't factored that into the tentative plan.
